As an entrepreneur, he has excelled in digital media consulting, marketing, and graphic design for artists such as Miguel Zenón, Charlie Haden, Paoli Mejías, Henry Cole, Julius Tolentino, Pat Donaher, Gabriel Vicéns, Ramón Vázquez, Mimi Jones, and Isaac Laussell, among others. He has also offered his services for multinational companies such as Puma Energy, LP®, ESPN Latin America, AOL and Wyndham Hotels.
Abdiel Flores has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón and belonged to the first class of the Jazz and Afro-Caribbean Music program at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music. He is currently completing a master’s degree in Management and Strategic Leadership at Ana G. Méndez University.
As a saxophonist, Flores has participated and collaborated with other Puerto Rican musicians in various performances and recordings. As a leader, he recorded the record production entitled “El Cuida de Mi” in 2011 together with Ramón Vázquez, Elías Celpa, Leobadis González and Isaac Laussell. This album opened the doors for him to create the ‘Música para el alma’ project, a series of musical presentations in vulnerable sectors with very little access to artistic experiences.
Currently, Flores combines his business and musical experiences to offer the Professional Skills for Musicians course at the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music. In addition, he has been part of the team of mentors for the Musical Acceleration program of the Banco Popular Foundation of Puerto Rico, giving talks on musical entrepreneurship to talented young people.
